M.A.C - Mehr Matte Lipstick

Hi everyone!

So today I am going to do my first ever makeup review, but seeing as I've never done one of these before, I feel like this isn't going to turn out how I wanted. When I was in New York, me and my mum ventured out to one of the MAC shops in Times Square. I'd been into MAC shops before, but I'd never been in with the intention to buy anything. When you first walk in it is very overwhelming, the fact I was in awe sounds so stupid but I literally was. I pretty much wanted everything, I didn't know where to start, so I left without buying any thing. The next day we went off in a different direction, near central park, and on the way there we came across a different MAC. This shop had a very different atmosphere to the first one, everyone was so helpful and they helped me know where to start. We started off at the eye shadows which we probably spent far to long at and then we headed off to the lipstick stand. I personally prefer matte lipsticks, because I hate the glossy feel on my lips, I've never worn any kid of lip gloss (apart from when I was 5 and felt really grown up) so I just felt like matte was the direction to head for.

Seeing as it was my first time buying a MAC lipstick I didn't want to be too adventurous so I stuck to a kind of neutral colour, basically a dark pink with a hint of brown. It honestly is the perfect colour, I don't use a lip liner with it, I just whack it straight on and leave, and it pretty much stays there all day (unless I'm eating).

The quality of this lipstick is amazing, when I've tried other matte lipsticks I have always felt like I have needed to put on lip balm 10 minutes before I use the lipstick because then it doesn't give the smooth finish like I want it to be, but with this one I don't. Sounds cringey, but it just glides on.

The colour really matches my skin tone, if I'm honest I'm not ridiculously pale but then I'm not that tanned, but I do have olive skin, kind of.. The colour really isn't too dark or too pale for my skin tone, but I feel like it's a colour that could match any skin tone.

All I have to say now is that this lipstick really didn't let me down, if you've been thinking about getting a MAC lipstick, just do it. I love mine, a lot.

If you do have one, or many, what's it called or what's your favourite?

(PS. sorry about the fact that I haven't posted in about 10 years, and the fact that the pictures are really bad. I can't take good ones.)

My New York Experience

During February half term my family and I travelled to New York for 4 and a half days. We arrived on Sunday 15th at around 2pm American time. We stepped outside of the airport and it was freezing, and I literally mean freezing!! When we got there it was about -10˚C, which I am not used to. Seeing as it was so cold, we got a taxi and drove to Times Square which was where my hotel was.

Times Square was possibly the most amazing, perfect, beautiful place I have ever been, despite the cold and how much we had to wrap up every time we left the hotel room, walking through Times Square really didn't make me think about the temperature.

Whilst we were there we did a hell of a lot of shopping, which probably wasn't too good, but it was amazing at the same time. The Disney shop that you can see in the picture above was the best shop I had ever been too, they had every single thing Disney in there, from rows of stuffed toys, to the marvel characters. It was perfect.

This was me being a princess in the Disney shop, it was awesome!!!!!!!

Whilst we were there it snowed, so we headed to Central Park and walked around there for about 30 minutes, I knew Central Park was pretty but when it snowed it was literally gorgeous.

Finally we went up the Rockefeller Centre which was beautiful, the view of New York city was the most breath-taking thing, it was spectacular.

So that's it for today's blog post, I hope you enjoyed seeing what I did in New York because it was honestly the most unbelievable place ever.

What did you do during the half term?

First Ever Post!!!

Hello everyone!!!
I've decided to make a blog so here it is, my first ever blog post. I haven't planned out what to write in this post, at all, but I do know that I'm going to tell you a little bit about me.

I'm aiming for this blog to be beauty, fashion and lifestyle themed, with the occasional change. I haven't got any sort of clue what I'm going to do posts about but I do know that I will try my hardest to keep at it.

So, here's a bit about me. My name is Molly and my middle name is Rose (if you couldn't tell) and I am 14 years of age. I'm probably the laziest person you'll ever meet, seeing as the only sort of physical activity I do is dance. I like doing my makeup and making myself look less like a zombie before I leave the house but apart from that I enjoy watching TV or Netflix and doing nothing. My fav thing to do is go to concerts which sounds so stupid but I laaav it, but then I also like doing basic stuff like doing things with my friends or watching cringey movies with my mum :/.

I'm kind of awful at doing things with my hair, there's only like two hairstyles that I can do without looking stupid and that's a ponytail or half up, half down. My hair is so flat that it's almost impossible to do anything with it anyway, if I curl it, the curls will be flat within 10 minutes. Obviously as a 14 year old, I'm not the best at doing makeup, I can't do anything fancy that will impress you but I can do basic stuff that might help other people (I hope so anyway) so on this blog I'm going to try and be helpful.

At first I know this blog is going to be a huge flop, and it's going to be weird just writing out massive things for people that aren't even there but if I keep at it then maybe people will arrive.

Anyway, I hope you enjoyed my first blog post (if you're there) and I will maybe see you soon for another one.
